Kerala Blasters signs the Uruguayan Adrián Luna

Kerala Blasters have announced their first foreign signing of the season as they’ve succeded in getting the signature of Adrián Luna on a two year deal. The club officially announced through an ‘early morning drama’ today.

ADRIAN : THE SUCCESSOR OF FACUNDO

Adrián shifted his focus to football when he was selected to U-19 side of Uruguayan side Defensor Sporting. He was then selected for the main team of Defensor Sporting. He then played for the Catalonian giants and one of the teams in La Liga BBVA Espanyol. He was loaned to the Spanish Second division club Gimnástic the same season. He was again loaned, but this time to CE Sabadell. The next season he was loaned to the Uruguayan side Club Nacional de Football. He then returned to his former club Defensor Sporting. He then played for the Mexican club Tiburones Rojos in 2015-16, but was loaned to Venados FC that season. After playing for Venados in 3 seasons, he was then recruited to Melbourne City FC, a club which comes under the PL Giants Manchester City. After serving them for 2 years, he is ready to don the yellow jersey.

He has played a total of 189 matches, scoring 25 goals and assisting his teammates 24 times. With a lot of experience, he will be joining the Manjappada.

Adrián’s quality set pieces and attractive performance on the pitch have caught the eyes of football fans. He is well known for his placements in the goal. He will be one of the trump card of Kerala Blasters FC this season. The club hopes that he could lead them to success.

Adrián has some connections to Hero Indian Super League too. He played with ex-Chennaiyin, FC Goa, ATK FC player Gustavo Manuel Lanzarote in CE Sabadell in 2012. He played with ex-NorthEast United FC star Simao Sabrosa in Espanyol in 2013. In Espanyol, he was signed as a replacement of ex-ATK FC, Delhi Dynamos striker Kalu Uche.

Early this morning, Blasters had announced their new signing Adrián Luna from nowhere. The interesting fact in this signing is that the Blasters had not let to leak the information of this player. With his signing, KBFC wants to settle the gap of Facundo Pereyra. The man from Argentina had a stellar outing in the previous season, but the club decided not to hand him an extension. The club feels that Adrián is the right replacement of Facundo. They believe that his quality set pieces and attractive gameplay would help them win matches. The fans think that this is a better signing compared to Facundo’s. They’re totally excited and eager to see their new signing to don the yellow jersey.
